How do you spend the first few moments of your mornings? If you don’t have a healthy morning routine in place, we’re sharing some of our favorite tips that help us get in the right headspace for the day ahead!
6 Tips to Start Your Day Strong with a Healthy Morning Routine
A great morning routine is the perfect way to kick off the day! While everyone’s routine might look a little different, there are a few things we can all do to ensure we are starting our day off on the right foot. Here are 6 easy and actionable steps to create an energizing and healthy morning routine!
#1 Start off Your Healthy Morning Routine by Hydrating
We all know that we need to drink plenty of water throughout the day, so starting the day off with a refreshing glass of water is a no-brainer! Head over to the kitchen first thing in the morning to pour yourself a tall glass, or keep a glass on your bedside table so that you can take a few sips right when you wake up.
#2 Hold Off on Scrolling
Bombarding your mind with texts, news stories, Instagram posts, and whatever else you’ll find on your phone isn’t exactly the most calming way to start your day. In fact, it can make you anxious before your day has even started!
If you’re guilty of scrolling through your phone right when you make up, try to build a habit of avoiding screens for at least 20 minutes as you wake up. The notifications can wait – give yourself some screen-free time at the start of your healthy morning routine.
#3 Create a Healthy Morning Routine Ritual
If you don’t already have one, find a small morning ritual that will help you clear your mind and get ready for the day. Maybe it’s meditating, journaling, reading, blasting your go-to pump-up song, making a nutritious breakfast…whatever works for you!
This might sound a bit luxurious – especially on workdays – but even just dedicating five or ten minutes to a meaningful morning ritual will help get you in a refreshed and energized mindset!
#4 Brew a Cup of Super Amazing Coffee
Can’t fathom starting your day without your morning cup of coffee? Neither can we! That’s why we think Super Amazing Coffee is the perfect addition to a healthy morning routine. It gives us the caffeine boost that we so desperately need in the morning, as well as a ton of benefits that you don’t get with traditional coffee!
Super Amazing Coffee is packed with 12 incredible superfoods, including green tea, turmeric, matcha, ginger, and cinnamon. These superfoods help improve brain power, boost metabolism, fight the signs of aging, and so much more. It’s the perfect healthy way to start the day!
If you don’t like your coffee black, don’t worry! You can add our Super Amazing Creamer for perfectly sweet and creamy coffee. It’s sugar-free, and contains MCT oil, collagen, and hyaluronic acid for a beauty and brain boost!
#5 Make Your Bed
At the risk of sounding like your mom, yes, you should make your bed every morning. One big (and obvious) benefit is that it will help make your bedroom look less cluttered. However, we mainly recommend this because it gives you an easy task to check off your to-do list first thing in the morning. It’s a super simple way to motivate yourself to get your day going and accomplish all your tasks!
Everyone has a different workout schedule that works best for them. However, speaking from personal experience, it’s a lot easier to get a workout in at the start of the day rather than the end!
If you also find that working out in the morning better for you, be sure you put aside some time for your favorite workout in your healthy morning routine! Not only will it ensure you actually get in your movement for the day, but it will also help you start off your day feeling strong and energized.
Pro tip: if you have a hard time motivating yourself, put out your workout gear the night before. It’ll make it that much easier to change into your athletic clothes and get moving!
Not a morning workout person? No problem! If you plan on going hard at the gym at the end of the day, still consider doing some easy stretches in the morning to get your blood flowing and wake your body up.
